Dear Memphis, I Really Love You These Days

Mother Nature? Not so much. Enough with the wind & rain.

I don't know how well it was publicized (I just found out about it yesterday morning), but the Memphis Farmer's Market had a special, mini-market, outside City Hall today, from 10am to 2pm. Since: 1) I am a huge proponent of eating locally and supporting local businesses/farmers, and 2) Am usually cycling on the weekends when the Farmer's Market is in full swing, I jumped at the chance to check out the MFM on a weekday. Another perk is that it was only a couple of blocks from where I work.

It's City Hall?...no, it's a Farmer's Market...

Delta Pecan Orchard, Jones Orchard and McCarter Coffee Company were among the vendors at the mini-market today.

Just a side note: I scored some chow chow for my brother, Johnny. He just LOVES chow chow. If you don't know the story, I will gladly tell you. Siblings, if you're reading this, mum's the word. The chow chow's a surprise.
